〜か否か
Formal written equivalent of 〜かどうか, "whether or not." Found in reports, legal texts and news writing; too stiff for casual conversation.
普通形 + か否か（N・na-adj は語幹に直接つく）
  1. 計画を続けるか否かを今日決める。
    けいかくをつづけるかいなかをきょうきめる。
    We will decide today whether or not to continue the plan.
  2. その情報が事実か否かはまだ確認できていない。
    そのじょうほうがじじつかいなかはまだかくにんできていない。
    Whether that information is true has yet to be confirmed.
  3. 適切か否かは委員会が判断する。
    てきせつかいなかはいいんかいがはんだんする。
    The committee will judge whether it is appropriate.
