Means 'on the occasion of / when the chance arises'. Polite and formal, common in letters and business speech; not used for everyday trivial events.
N + の折に / V-dict / V-ta + 折に
  1. 上京の折には、ぜひお立ち寄りください。
    じょうきょうのおりには、ぜひおたちよりください。
    When you come up to Tokyo, please do drop by.
  2. お目にかかった折に、詳しくご説明いたします。
    おめにかかったおりに、くわしくごせつめいいたします。
    I will explain in detail when I have the chance to meet you.
