If things stay in this state, a bad outcome will follow. It carries criticism or warning, so it is not aimed at a superior. Used in speech and writing.
plain + ようでは（N + のようでは、na-adj + なようでは）
こんな簡単な問題も解けないようでは、合格は難しい。
こんなかんたんなもんだいもとけないようでは、ごうかくはむずかしい。
If you can't even solve a simple problem like this, passing will be hard.
毎朝遅刻するようでは、信用を失ってしまう。
