〜の (nominalizer)
Verb (plain form) + の turns a verb into a noun phrase. Often used with verbs of perception and feeling (見る, 聞く, 好き, 忘れる) and for concrete actions.
V-plain + の
  1. 彼が歌うのを聞きました。
    かれがうたうのをききました。
    I heard him sing.
  2. 電気を消すのを忘れた。
    でんきをけすのをわすれた。
    I forgot to turn off the light.
  3. 友達と話すのは楽しい。
    ともだちとはなすのはたのしい。
    Talking with friends is fun.
