Plain form + はずだ (な-adj + な, noun + の). Expresses a confident expectation based on reasoning: 'should be, is supposed to, I'm sure'.
V/い-adj plain + はずだ; な-adj な / N の + はずだ
  1. 彼はもう家に着いているはずだ。
    かれはもういえについているはずだ。
    He should have arrived home by now.
  2. この本は図書館にあるはずです。
    このほんはとしょかんにあるはずです。
