〜ておく

Verb (te-form) + おく. Means to do something in advance as preparation, or to leave something as it is. Casual form is 〜とく.

V-te + おく (casual: V-te → とく)

パーティーの前に飲み物を買っておく。

パーティーのまえにのみものをかっておく。

I'll buy drinks before the party.
明日の会議の資料を読んでおいた。

あしたのかいぎのしりょうをよんでおいた。

I read the materials for tomorrow's meeting in advance.
窓は開けておいてください。

まどはあけておいてください。

Please leave the window open.
