つまり

つまり + sentence. Means "in other words / in short", restating or summarizing what was just said.

S1。つまり、S2 (ということだ)

父の兄、つまり私のおじです。

ちちのあに、つまりわたしのおじです。

My father's older brother — in other words, my uncle.
つまり、明日は来られないということですね。

つまり、あしたはこられないということですね。

In other words, you can't come tomorrow, right?
