としょかんの使い方 — How to use the library
Read the passage twice — once for the gist, once slowly — then answer the questions. Every kanji has its reading above it; the words in the box are the ones worth knowing. 485 characters.
市立ちゅうおうとしょかん ごりようあんない
かいかん時間は かようびから にちようびの ごぜん 九時から ごご 八時までです。げつようびと 毎月 さいごの もくようびは きゅうかん日です。ねんまつ年始も お休みです。
本を 借りるには りようカードが ひつようです。しないに 住んでいる 方、しないの 学校や 会社に 通っている 方なら、だれでも むりょうで 作ることが できます。じゅうしょが 分かる 物（運転めんきょしょう、ほけんしょう、ざいりゅうカードなど）を うけつけに お持ちください。
一度に 借りられるのは 十さつまで、きかんは にしゅうかんです。つぎの よやくが 入っていなければ、いっかいだけ えんちょうできます。えんちょうは 電話か インターネットでも できます。かえすのが おくれると、おくれた 日数と 同じ 日数、新しく 借りることが できなく なります。
としょかんの 中では しずかに してください。けいたい電話は マナーモードに し、通話は 入口の 外で おねがいします。飲み物は ふたの ついた ものだけ 持って 入ることが できます。食べ物は さんがいの きゅうけいしつで おねがいします。

City Central Library — Guide for users. Opening hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday to Sunday. We are closed on Mondays and on the last Thursday of every month, and over the New Year. A user card is needed to borrow books; anyone living in the city, or attending a school or workplace in the city, can make one free of charge — please bring something showing your address (driving licence, insurance card, residence card, etc.) to the desk. Up to ten books may be borrowed at a time, for two weeks; if no one has reserved the book, one renewal is allowed, by phone or online. If you return books late, you will be unable to borrow for the same number of days you were late. Please be quiet inside the library; set phones to silent and take calls outside the entrance. Only drinks with lids may be brought in; please eat in the break room on the third floor. If anything is unclear, feel free to ask a member of staff in a green uniform.
