〜とばかりに

'As if to say X' — describes an attitude or action so clear it is almost spoken. The words are not actually said; written and descriptive style.

実際には言わないが、そう言わんばかりの様子を表す描写的な表現。

Formation: 引用句(V-plain/N/命令形など)+とばかりに
