二度と〜ない

"Never again" — a firm statement that something will not happen or be done a second time. Used in both speech and writing, often with resolve, regret or warning.

「もう繰り返さない」という強い否定・決意を表す。

Formation: 二度と + V-ない形（可能形ない・V-まい も可）

Example sentences

  1. あんな失敗は二度と繰り返したくない。

    あんなしっぱいはにどとくりかえしたくない。

    I never want to repeat a mistake like that.

  2. あの店には二度と行かないと決めた。

    あのみせにはにどといかないときめた。

    I decided I would never go to that shop again.

  3. 事故の後、彼は二度と車に乗らなかった。

    じこのあと、かれはにどとくるまにのらなかった。

    After the accident he never got in a car again.
