〜って (casual quotation)

Plain form + って. Casual version of と for quoting speech or thoughts, and of という / というのは for topics.

「と」「という」のくだけた言い方。会話で引用や話題を示す。

  1. 田中さんは来ないって言ってた。

    たなかさんはこないっていってた。

    Tanaka said he's not coming.

  2. この店、おいしいって聞いたよ。

    このみせ、おいしいってきいたよ。

    I heard this place is good.

  3. 漢字って難しいね。

    かんじってむずかしいね。

    Kanji sure are hard, aren't they?
