に (location / time marker)

Marks a destination, point in time, or static location.

行き先・時刻・存在する場所を示す助詞「に」。

Formation: place に 行きます / time に V / place に あります・います

Example sentences

  1. 学校に 行きます。

    がっこうに いきます。

    I go to school.

  2. 七時に おきます。

    しちじに おきます。

    I get up at seven.

  3. つくえの 上に 本が あります。

    つくえの うえに ほんが あります。

    There is a book on the desk.
