か (question marker)

Placed at the end of a sentence to make it a question.

文末に「か」をつけて疑問文にする。

Formation: sentence + か (です → ですか / ます → ますか)

Example sentences

  1. これは 何ですか。

    これは なんですか。

    What is this?

  2. あなたは 学生ですか。

    あなたは がくせいですか。

    Are you a student?

  3. おちゃを 飲みますか。

    おちゃを のみますか。

    Will you have some tea?
