な-adjective basics

Use な before nouns; use です to predicate.

名詞の前では「な」をつけ、文末では「です」をつける形容詞。

Formation: Aな + N / A です / A じゃない です

Example sentences

  1. きれいな 花ですね。

    きれいな はなですね。

    That is a pretty flower.

  2. この へやは しずかです。

    この へやは しずかです。

    This room is quiet.

  3. わたしは 今日 元気じゃないです。

    わたしは きょう げんきじゃないです。

    I am not feeling well today.
