Akebono-yu
曙湯
Asakusa · Tsukuba Express Asakusa Station, 6-8 min walk
Why we recommend it
An old-style miya-zukuri (shrine-roofed) sento near Sensoji whose mural mixes the traditional Mount Fuji with playful additions like Godzilla and Tokyo Skytree, a detail locals point to as one of the more distinctive wall paintings left in the city. It still runs a traditional early "asa-yu" morning bath.

Daikoku-yu (Kamimeguro)
大黒湯(上目黒)
¥ · 45 min · English: no
A Kamimeguro neighborhood sento whose bathing hall still carries a hand-painted Mount Fuji mural, visible from both the men's and women's sides, in the classic style largely painted by a handful of remaining sento artists nationwide. It is listed by the Meguro Ward bathhouse association as one of the ward's mural baths.
Ryogoku & Kiyosumi
Tatsumi-yu
辰巳湯
¥ · 45 min · English: no
Rather than a painted Fuji, this Kiyosumi-Shirakawa sento covers a full wall in mosaic-tile artwork based on ukiyo-e prints, a rarer variant of Tokyo's sento-art tradition. It sits two minutes from the station in an area better known for coffee roasters and galleries than bathhouses.
