Doing B while also serving purpose A, typically a visit or letter. Very formal, mostly written correspondence and business greetings.

Ａを兼ねてＢをするという改まった表現。

Formation: N（挨拶・お礼・報告 など動作性の名詞）+ かたがた

  1. 先日のお礼かたがた、ご挨拶に伺いました。

    せんじつのおれいかたがた、ごあいさつにうかがいました。

    I came to greet you and also to thank you for the other day.

  2. 報告かたがた、来週お立ち寄りいたします。
