〜ときては

"When it comes to X." Singles out a topic in order to criticize it or explain a consequence. Colloquial and emphatic; 〜ときたら is the same.

話題を取り立てて、多くは非難や理由を述べる話し言葉。

Formation: N + ときては（〜ときたら も同義）

  1. うちの部長ときては、謝ることを知らない。

    うちのぶちょうときては、あやまることをしらない。

    As for our department head, he simply doesn't know how to apologize.

  2. この暑さときては、外に出る気にもなれない。

    このあつさときては、そとにでるきにもなれない。
