〜ぶりに

"After an interval of X." States how long it has been since something last happened. Neutral and very common in conversation and news.

前回からの経過時間を表す。「三年ぶりに」のように使う。

Formation: 時間を表す N + ぶりに／ぶりの + N（例：十年ぶりに）

  1. 十年ぶりに故郷の町を訪ねた。

    じゅうねんぶりにこきょうのまちをたずねた。

    I visited my hometown for the first time in ten years.

  2. 三日ぶりに雨がやんだ。

    みっかぶりにあめがやんだ。

    The rain stopped after three days.

  3. 久しぶりに同期と食事をした。

    ひさしぶりにどうきとしょくじをした。

    I had a meal with my old colleagues for the first time in ages.
