〜次第

"As soon as," attached to a verb stem. Business and formal speech; the second clause must be future (a report, request or intention) and cannot be in the past tense.

「〜したらすぐに」の意味。後件は未来のことで、過去形は使えない。

Formation: V-masu形 + 次第；動作性N + 次第（後件に過去形・状態は不可）

Example sentences

  1. 詳しいことが決まり次第、ご連絡いたします。

    くわしいことがきまりしだい、ごれんらくいたします。

    I will contact you as soon as the details are settled.

  2. 準備ができ次第、出発しましょう。

    じゅんびができしだい、しゅっぱつしましょう。

    Let's set off as soon as we are ready.

  3. 商品が入荷次第、お知らせします。

    しょうひんがにゅうかしだい、おしらせします。

    We will let you know as soon as the goods come in.
