〜ずにすむ

Means you end up not having to do something unpleasant. Neutral register; 〜ないですむ is the more casual spoken form.

しなくてもよい状況になり、避けられたことを表す。

Formation: V-nai stem + ずにすむ（する → せずにすむ）

    ほけんのおかげで、じぶんではらわずにすんだ。
