~たら (If/when)

Conditional: plain past + ら. Often 'when' or 'if'.

普通形過去＋ら。「もし〜なら」「〜したとき」の両方に使える。

Formation: V/adj/N-た + ら

Example sentences

  1. 雨が降ったら、家にいます。

    あめがふったら、いえにいます。

    If it rains, I'll stay home.

  2. 駅に着いたら、電話してください。

    えきについたら、でんわしてください。

    When you get to the station, please call me.

  3. 安かったら、買います。

    やすかったら、かいます。

    If it's cheap, I'll buy it.
