~かどうか (Whether or not)

Embedded yes/no question.

「〜か、〜ないか」の意味。文の中に「はい／いいえ」の疑問を入れる。

Formation: 普通形 + かどうか (N・な-adj は だ を付けない)

  1. 彼が来るかどうか分かりません。

    かれがくるかどうかわかりません。

    I don't know whether he's coming.

  2. この答えが正しいかどうか教えてください。

    このこたえがただしいかどうかおしえてください。
