Marks the topic of the sentence. Pronounced 'wa'.

主題を示す助詞「は」。発音は「わ」。

Formation: N は + predicate (noun / adjective / verb)

  1. わたしは 日本人です。

    わたしは にほんじんです。

    I am Japanese.

  2. ねこは かわいいです。
