The river at dusk
夕暮れの川 ゆうぐれのかわ
Nature · View · Photogenic · Seasonal
Tokyo is a city of water that hides it; the boats show it. The water bus from Asakusa to Hama-rikyu under twelve bridges at four in the afternoon in autumn, the small open boats from Nihonbashi along the Edo canals, or the yakatabune — the lantern-hung dinner boats that leave from the Sumida piers with tempura and karaoke and anchor off Odaiba as the Rainbow Bridge lights up.
- How to arrange it
- Water buses need no booking outside cherry season; yakatabune are booked for groups, but several companies run shared boats for two.
