Shibuya Sky
渋谷スカイ しぶやすかい
An open rooftop at 230 metres, with the crossing directly below and Fuji, the Tower and the Skytree around the horizon.
Worth itView · Modern · Photogenic · High-end
The roof of Shibuya Scramble Square, opened in 2019, is the only high observation deck in Tokyo where you stand in the open with nothing between you and the sky except a glass rail: hammocks in the corners, the helipad in the middle, and the city in every direction. Below it the crossing is a scatter of dots. It sells out at sunset weeks ahead; the rest of the day is easy to book. The 46th floor, inside, has a bar for the rain.

- Fuji at sunset in winter, straight down the line of the Tokyu tracks
- The crossing from directly above, timed to the light
- Tip
- Book the online timed ticket the day it goes on sale for a sunset slot; otherwise go at opening and have the roof to yourself.
